Ailis Mactaggart

MSc Physiotherapist

BSc Sport and Exercise Therapist

Ailis is a fully qualified Physiotherapist with a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy. She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. In 2021, she founded A.R.M Rehabilitation and Massage, which has since grown into A.R.M Physiotherapy and Massage, now based at Eley Fitness in Bakewell.

Ailis began her career as a Sport and Exercise Therapist, gaining extensive experience in hands-on treatment, injury management, and rehabilitation. She has worked in semi-professional rugby and busy musculoskeletal clinics, treating a wide range of clients and conditions.

She now works with Chesterfield FC Academy, where her focus is on helping athletes prevent injury, develop their existing skills, and maximise performance. She uses detailed movement assessments and designs tailored strength and conditioning programmes to improve mobility, coordination, power, speed, and agility. Her work is centred on enhancing sport-specific performance and helping individuals reach their full potential.

By combining physiotherapy, movement education, and performance-focused conditioning, Ailis supports clients not only in recovering from injury but in moving more efficiently, building strength, and performing at their best. Her approach is evidence-based and client-centred, aimed at reducing pain, improving movement, and achieving goals with confidence.
